Hey everyone! I wasn't in class much last week since I was sick, so I missed a week of vocab posts (ごめんね >.<"). But anyways here are some words I picked up this week.
I tried looking up the word for forest, and was surprised by what I found. Interestingly enough, there are about four words that translate into forest. These are:

Hey all. Been a while since I posted some vocab, so I thought I'd get back to it :) Here are some interesting words I picked up from my new class "Ecology and Economics":
** This looks (and even sounds) contradictory since you have to use the negative form of a verb. A more literal translation is " if you don't ______, it won't be good."
** This is a way of saying you don't care when given a choice to do something. For example someone asks you what you want to do while visiting Tokyo, you can use this phrase.
** This has to be used with a verb. For ru verbs, just drop the 「見る(みる)ー> 見たい」and for い verbs, use the masu form「行く(いく)->行きたい」 |
